Our guided Scottish Winter Walks is ideal for hill walkers who want to understand the essential skills needed to enjoy winter walking.
The mountains of the Carngorms and Glencoe and Ben Nevis have some of the best and most reliable winter walking conditions in Britain. They are also suitable for beginner and expert alike so have something for everyone. This walk will give you a chance to use both ice axe and crampons, explain avalanche avoidance and emergency shelters, and of course winter navigation all under the expert guidance of our instructors. All we ask from you is a good level of hill walking fitness and the desire to experience Scottish winter walking.

Looking at movement skills and how to carry the additional equipment required in Winter.Further days would be required to practice all the skills required to be safe in the Winter Mountains, but this day is a great opportunity to get out for the first time and experience it. Discovering how the Winter Season changes the landscape and risks associated with that.
