Intro to climbing day with Jannie, Natty & Ella – 11th July 2019

Jannie got in touch with us to have a half day introduction to climbing experience for himself and his two children, Natty and Ella.
Over on holiday from Zambia, probably not had a lot of rain!

With the weather looking decidedly damp outside, low cloud and very unconvincing forecast, we headed to Twistleton Scar. A selection of routes were undertaken, some easier than others.
Looking at various climbing techniques, gear and safety, Sam and I helped them achieve some amazing climbing, utilising tiny footholds and progressing their rock climbing skills.

After another brief shower and a few excellent hours on the crag, we decided to head back to the café before the incoming downpours.
After a brief break and some lunch, we headed into the indoor wall in Ingleton. Joined by Sue (Mum), we looked at bouldering and indoor climbing in the dry.

A half day turning into a full on day. Well Done Jannie, Natty, Ella and Sue. (Sorry no pics from the Indoor wall)
We hope you enjoyed the Yorkshire Dales and the climbing fun too.
