This Beginners rock climbing course is designed to be the start of things to come.
Whatever routes you climb it is sure to be a great adventure in a beautiful landscape.

This course is aimed at people that wish to learn more about rock climbing outdoors. Whether you’ve climbed indoors or not at all, this day long course will set you up with a greater understanding of what is involved in climbing outdoors.

Designed for the complete novice climber, you will learn about :
belaying
tying in
Safety equipment and it’s correct use.
Climbing technique and movement skills.
managing problems arising whilst climbing
ascending safely.
climb as a ‘second’ climber on a route.
trad and sport climbing.
how to manage your mental state and relax whilst climbing

Our guides are fully qualified and used to tailoring the time to suit you and the group. Most of our locations it’s possible to watch, encourage each other for parties of mixed abilities and ambition and are particularly suitable for families and friends

09:00-09:30 Meet up

Meeting at HQ having stocked up on breakfast and supplies before we head to a local crag for the day.

10:00-16:00 Rock climbing

Introductions, safety briefing at the crag, whilst your experienced guides setup the climbs and activities for teaching you all about climbing outdoors. We don’t tend to stop for lunch, but encourage people to take regular food and drink onboard, as most are not used to climbing for 6 hours.

16:00-17:00 Finish

Back to base, for a cuppa, chat, review and relax.

These courses require a minimum of two people to run.
£80 per person per day.
